Property Summary
Weavers is a Grade 11 listed thatched cottage of historical interest in Suffolk. In the late 1800’s Cadbury's, the famous chocolatier, chose just 12 cottages across Great Britain to feature on their finest chocolate boxes, of which Weavers is one. Close to Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds, yet set in a rural location, it’s a lovely home to 'escape' to.Weavers is truly a house for all seasons. The summer roses in the garden are breathtaking and in the winter, there is nowhere more cosy!
We advise booking early if you are coming in June, July and August as we get very heavily booked up over these months*
Weavers is a timber framed thatched cottage, full of character. It’s quirky, charming and idyllic! In the summer it’s stunning with its beautiful garden and pretty flowers. In the Winter, there is nowhere more cosy or more quintessentially ‘English’ with the fires lit and a glass of wine in hand. It’s a place of total relaxation where you can go to unwind and that you don’t need, or may not want, to leave. If you fancy heading out and about, there are many lovely walks, pubs, tea rooms, antique shops and places to discover. It’s a house for all seasons. If you feel inspired, there is a grand piano in the living room and a guitar that guests are welcome to use. Outside is a great BBQ perfect for al fresco dining under the grape vines. The house looks out onto fields and there are often a couple of friendly horses to be found. Whilst in a very rural setting, if you want to enjoy some shopping, you can get to a town centre within 15 mins by car. Central London is only 90 mins away by road. So near, yet so far. Weavers feels as though you’ve walked into a little touch of yesteryear. We hope you love it as much as we do.
Guest access
The entire house and garden is for the guests exclusive use.
Interaction with guests

Other things to note
Weavers is a well positioned cottage in East Anglia. Whilst situated in Suffolk, it's a stones throw from the counties of Cambridgeshire and Essex. Villages we particularly love are Long Melford, Lavenham and Clare. Ickworth House, owned by the National Trust is beautiful as is Audley End house and gardens, owned and maintained by English Heritage. Many guests stay to attend weddings in Great Bradley or Little Bradley, both of which are very close to the house.
